Nowe Standardy Bezpieczeństwa EN71 - opublikowane

The new EN 71-1:2011 standard on mechanical and physical properties was published on 8 June 2011. EN71-1 is one of the main toy safety standards as it contains requirements for the design, strength, performance and labelling of toys. This is the first published European standard to take into consideration the provisions of the new Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC.
This standard is the result of many months of hard work by all parties involved in the standardisation process.
Once listed in the Official Journal of the European Union, EN 71-1:2011 will provide presumption of conformity to the revised Toy Safety Directive that will become applicable as of 20 July 2011.
The final text will be available for purchase from national standards bodies shortly.
The European Committee for Standardization’s (CEN) press release on the publication of the standard is available here.
Further information on standardisation is available here.
A series of TIE articles on toy safety requirements and standardisation is available here.
